i)
ePocrates Rx Pro: This is undoubtedly the best drug resource out there for both Palm & PocketPC. It has Infectious Diseases and drug pricing as well as a limited formulary in some regions. I’m not sure it works ok with Mac computers.
ii)
Pdr.net : Handheld version of the popular PDR manual, is a memory hog, and runs from RAM, at least as of 2 months ago when I last checked.
iii)
MicroMedex: Requires paid subscription, I have not used it myself
Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Guide : I found this one very useful till Epocrates developed an ID module. A little bit cumbersome to install.
iv)
A to Z Drug Facts : A Skyscape product. Skyscape products tend to be priced higher than competitors. Extensive list of drugs on the US market, more detailed than Epocrates.
v)
IFacts: Also a Skyscape product
vi)
Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia : I thought this was free, listed at about $30 on their website. Probably second to Epocrates in ease of use.
vii)
PEPID drugs : Another one I have not tried, please post a review if you have.
viii)
and here is a comparison of PEPID, Lexi- Drugs and Epocrates
ix)
Lexi-Drugs : Lexi-Drugs covers about 4000 existing drugs on the market.
Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial Therapy : Much better than the print copy, which I found hard to use, I was able to transfer it to the card when I had a Palm M505, but it took about 12seconds to run. Costs $25
